First find the leak by manually turning on the water after the soil has been dry and search for where it comes up.
Dig up the broken area being careful to avoid hitting the pipes and causing any additional damage, also ensuring to dig up enough off the pipe so that you have adequate room on each side of the break to cut and add new couplings.
Once dug cut the broken section out and clean the pipe using water and then purple primer to prepare it for couplings. Make sure when cutting you don't cut too much out so it can fit a slip fix or compression fitting, you can measure with a tape measure to avoid over cutting.
Use a slip fix with the correct size coupling to attach a slip fix on one side with pipe cement (my favorite is Christie's hot blue) and after it has dried a bit slide out the slip fix to the other side of the break and glue both the pipe and the fitting before attaching.
Now wait a minimum of 15 minutes before turning your system back on to allow the glue to dry for pressurization.
If all of that sounds too difficult, feel free to leave it up to us!
